Introduction | परिचय

The 'N' mistakes of my LIFE...

My name is Vineet Kumar Singh. I hail from a village called Akbarpur Khas in Uttar Pradesh. But I have spent most of my life in Bareilly. You must have heard about Bareilly before!

ये वही जगह है जहाँ की बाज़ार में झुमका गिरा था और जहाँ की बर्फी की चर्चा पूरे हिंदुस्तान में है

We all make mistakes in life, don't we?

It is a fact of life. Somewhere along the line, everybody is going to make a bad decision or do something they knew they should not have. Some people make the same mistake two or three times before they learn, but people can often learn more from those mistakes better than they can from success.  I believe mistakes allow you to learn something from a situation and move on positively and possibly make you a better person.

Well here is my story full of mistakes!

Mistake Number 1

"To get separated from my love"

Well, my life was going smoothly. I was excelling in school, winning medals in sports events. But as we all know that, good days don’t last long, the same happened with me too. When I was in the eleventh class, I fell in love with my best friend and when you fall in love with your best friend, things get messed up. I messed up bad too. Firstly I'd like to tell you about my best friend, my love, that is CRICKET.

I am a passionate cricketer and I have been playing cricket since time immemorial. So, while I was studying in class eleventh, IPL was the new buzz in town. Although I was not aiming for it, I got an offer to go to Delhi for inductions. I was so overwhelmed by the offer that I left my batting and ran home like Usain Bolt just to tell this breaking news to my family. I told everything to my father about the offer. Just so you know, my father is a policeman. As soon as I told him, he took me on remand to investigate, exactly like he takes a pocket maar or a chindi chor. My father rejected the offer straight away and ordered me to focus only on my studies. And the poor Vineet agreed!

My love💗

Mistake Number 2

"Engineering!"

ये वो गलती है जो और भी बहुत से हिंदुस्तानियों ने की है

So, when I was unable to secure a seat at IIT after my 12th, I was thrown out of the house and onto the streets of Kota. I had no other choice but to study. And after having a lot of “delicious” food and experiencing “lovely” weather, I somehow managed to commit the second biggest mistake of my life. I got admission in one of the “prominent” institutes i.e. IIT NIT Rourkela. It was a proud moment for me because none of my family members and friends knew where the hell is “Roorkela”. So, I quickly googled it and told them. “Aggyani log!

Mistake Number 3

"खनन अभियांत्रिकी!"

As I was totally an aggyani about the stream in which I should pursue my engineering. So, I handed this responsibility over to my "Big Brother" whose name is Sachin. He was the torchbearer of our family because none of our family members ever made it to graduation until that time. He was pursuing his engineering from IIIT Allahabad. After days of “extensive” research, he came out with the preference list of branches to opt for. He chose a branch that I never heard before and nor did anyone in entire Uttar Pradesh. But poor Vineet did not question much and happily landed his foot on the kulhaadi. The story does not end here my friends. When I reached the campus, I was brought to the kind notice about the “beautiful” star marked in front of my branch. I reached the end of the document and I read the line which literally gave me a mini heart attack.

The written line was  Girls are not allowed to opt for this branch”

I don’t know whether he was also an aggyani about this fact or it was his smart move since the beginning.

Mistake Number 4

"Patching up!"

My life was going well, at least in my fantasy world. It took me two years to accept the harsh reality. It took me two years to train my mind to tolerate the ghar with no hariyali. But as soon as I entered the third year, the tides changed their course. My first love with whom I broke up 5 years ago, knocked at my doors again. Ever since we broke up, I kept my distance, I didn’t meet her nor did I think about her. Those were the 5 longest years of my life. But this time, when I got her (leather ball) back in my hands, I was so fueled up to clean bowled my academics and celebrate the next mistake of my life. Our love flourished as we won many fights together which also includes the glorious battle ever fought in the history of NIT, “The Inter-NIT Cricket Tournament”.

Mistake Number 5

"होगी प्यार की जीत"

We were so high on the love that we could not see anything else but us. So just after my graduation, despite having other choices, we chose to make Decathlon our home. And this was my mistake number 5. Our love didn’t last for long as we could not give time to each other. I got so caught up in work that I could not spend time with her, all thanks to the ungodly shift timings of Decathlon. And eventually, we got separated. I was heartbroken again and completely lost my charm. But I pulled myself together, brushed the dust off my books, and start preparing for CAT.

Mistake Number 6

"Blog!"

अज्ञानी बाबा

CAT exam was over, and the result was out. I applied at the various institutes with the hope to get selected and fulfill my dream to pursue an MBA. After all the interviews were over, I managed to convert 16 institutes which include giants like NITIE, IIM Ranchi, IIM Udaipur, IIM Kashipur, IIT KGP, and many more. I decided to pursue my MBA from NITIE (aka God's Own Campus). There is this subject called Business Communication in which we got an assignment to mark our presence on the Internet and hence this blog (or mistake).

So, this is all about AggyaniBaba. I will keep updating my next mistakes here from time to time. Meanwhile, you can also share your mistakes in the comment box!

It's human nature to make mistakes but we all do make numerous of them. Indecisiveness encircles us sometimes and sometimes we are compelled to do certain things...but what keeps us going is our positive outlook and introspecting ourselves time to time.

  10. Mistakes are fact of life! Right? It is the response that counts!

And as far as I know you are a kind of optimistic person, you always see the optimistic side of a thing which is again an overwhelming approach of yours. I also believe that you will make all your response worth it, to all your mistakes. All the best, Vineet.🍷🥂

I also wish that your unconditional love prevails.
